Overview
Hill Farm is a The Wild Company habitat bank on the edge of Langford in Bedfordshire, managed in partnership with Rivington Energy. The site currently supports land managed in association with energy infrastructure, and will transition to a long-term nature recovery programme delivering biodiversity units under a 30-year management obligation.
Planned habitat creation and enhancement includes improvements to existing neutral grasslands to good and moderate condition, establishment of lowland meadow on unimproved areas, and enhancement and creation of species-rich native hedgerows with trees. Implementation is expected to commence in summer 2026, following registration of units on the Biodiversity Gain Site Register.
The site sits within a Bedfordshire development market with strong pipeline demand, in the same National Character Area as other active The Wild Company habitat banks. Conservation Covenant legals are in progress. Units will be available for allocation upon registration with Natural England.
