How much do you have? BNG projects need a meaningful area to justify the registration and legal costs. A few acres rarely works.

Where it sits? Sites near active development generate stronger demand for units. Location affects price and speed of sale.

The baseline condition? Lower-quality starting habitats mean more room for uplift — more units, more value.

Your appetite for commitment? BNG is a 30-year legal obligation under a conservation covenant or Section 106 agreement. The habitats have to be managed for the full term.
