Overview
Brock Farm is a The Wild Company habitat bank in Brentwood Borough, designed to deliver lasting ecological uplift within the Northern Thames Basin National Character Area.
The site supports a series of permanent neutral grasslands of varying character, two large ponds with mature boundary hedgerows, and a small watercourse (Stock Brook). Prior management through hay cutting and intermittent grazing provides a strong baseline for targeted enhancement.
Planned interventions include enhancement of existing neutral grasslands to good and moderate condition, installation of a reedbed wetland system, pond improvement works, watercourse enhancement, and the creation of new species-rich native hedgerows throughout. Delivery is phased across spring/summer 2026 (wetland and watercourse works) and autumn 2026 (grassland enhancement and hedgerow planting).
The Wild Company manages the full lifecycle of this site — from baseline biodiversity metric assessment and legal registration through to unit sales, developer allocation and 30 years of on-site ecological monitoring and management.
Conservation Covenant legals are currently being progressed. Units will be available for allocation upon registration.
